Marble comes in marble tile or slabs.  Along with Granite and other stone, it is a porous material. Although durable and can take a beating; when properly installed and sealed.  Sometimes the installation is not always the best, and you may find that there is lippage (having a tile higher in one spot and not meeting perfectly at the point of connection to the next tile).  We have the right equipment and the experienced personal to be able to “Hone” (Honing is a process that takes an abrasive stone attached to a rotor type machine that will take the extra Marble down until smooth)  When the surface is level, it is ready to be cleaned, then polished to a high shine and finally sealed to keep your surface shining and durable for years.
